Luca is a Manager in the PwC’s Cybersecurity & Privacy practice in Hong Kong, where he is the team’s cyber threat intelligence specialist. Luca conducts regular hands-on research on cybercriminal and cyber espionage threats to help clients protect their networks. Luca has more than 7 years of international experience within the cyber intelligence community, and was previously based in London. Luca has received a MA in Intelligence and International Security from King’s College London, and is a CREST Certified Threat Intelligence Manager (CCTIM). |
Abstract | Investigations into the SolarWinds Orion supply chain compromise revealed a long running and technically sophisticated espionage campaign that initially affected thousands of organisations worldwide, including several cyber security companies. The discovery of this campaign demonstrates the intrinsic risks of software supply chain, and how advanced cyber threat actor can exploit it to gain a foothold in the network of even well-defended targets. This webinar will discuss what we know so far about the tactics, techniques, and procedures used in the campaign, and what lessons can be learnt from it. |
