Wai-Kit CHEAH Wai-Kit is Senior Director of Lumen’s Product Management & Practices function in Asia Pacific and a key member of Lumen Technologies’ Senior Management team. Prior to 2022, he was responsible for strategising Lumen’s cybersecurity strategy, roadmap and architecture of Lumen’s Security Opertions Centers (SOC) in region. Wai-Kit have spearheaded various private-public-partnership programs, collaborating with academia and regulatory partners, geared towards continuous improvement in cybersecurity standards and cyber capacity building. An IT veteran with three decades of diverse experiences across IT/OT, Operations, Risk & Compliance, Cybersecurity, AI and Automation, Wai-Kit is a strong advocate for digital transformation and risk management. Prior to joining Lumen, Wai-Kit held various leadership positions at several multinational corporations. He sat on the Cloud Security Alliance (Singapore) Board in the early years of inception between 2011 to 2013. Wai-Kit is passionate about helping businesses to manage and mitigate the increasing cyber risks in today’s evolving threat landscape. He graduated from National University of Singapore with B.Sc. in Computer Science and MBA. Wai-Kit is also a Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified Enterprise Architecture Practitioner, amongst other credentials. |
Abstract | It is evident from most high-profile data breaches that overlooking small details can lead to disastrous results. Nearly 90% of all data breaches happens because of poor cybersecurity posture. Without a doubt, the weakest link in the chain is the one which always breaks and the challenge is that most of these weaknesses are not so obvious or visible. They are the blind spots. Attend this session to learn what are these common blind spots and how to combat them to elevate your cybersecurity posture. |
