Speaker Mr. Wilson Pang, Senior Manager, Fintech Facilitation Office, Hong Kong Monetary Authority

Wilson is a Senior Manager at the Fintech Facilitation Office (FFO) of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. He is one of the leading members of core projects of the office, including Commercial Data Interchange and Cybersecurity Fortification Initiative.

Prior to joining the HKMA, Wilson was a director at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, leader in information technology audit and cyber security consulting. He has more than 20 years of IT and consulting experience in various industries, including banking, insurance, manufacturing and retail.

Wilson is a Certified Information Systems Auditor and a Chartered Public Accountant with the Board of Accountancy, New Hampshire of The United States.

Abstract Cybersecurity

Cybersecurity landscape is continuously evolving. In view of this, the HKMA has launched the Cybersecuity Fortification Initiative 2.0 in Nov 2020. What are core changes on this new version and how would it impact the industry?

Commercial Data Interchange

In HKFTW 2020, HKMA Chief Executive Mr Eddie Yue announced that the HKMA is exploring a new data strategy and considering building a new financial infrastructure called Commercial Data Interchange (CDI) to enable more efficient financial intermediation in the banking system, and to enhance financial inclusion in Hong Kong. What is CDI? and how can it enhance financial inclusion in HK?

Our guest speaker will share the background of CFI 2.0 and CDI and share insights about these 2 initiatives.
