Michael Liu is the Head of Technology Audit at a global insurance company leading a team of technology auditors based in Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, and Singapore covering more than 10 markets within the Asia region. He has more than 20 years of experience in the first, second, and third lines of defense in financial and technology multinational companies taking various governance, risk, and control assurance leadership roles.

Michael has a Master of Science degree in Information and Technology Management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree majoring in Information Systems Engineering from the University of Sydney. He has a very strong technical background and holds various well recognized professional qualifications including Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Cloud Security Professional  (CCSP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Member of Business Continuity Institute (MBCI) and Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI).
