Dave S. Y. Yip is the founder and President of Gamatech Limited. Dave has over 35 years experience in the information technology industry, including over 10 years in the banking sector with an additional 15-plus years focused on the Identity and Access Management (IAM) space. Dave has used his IAM expertise and visionary insights to help bring numerous innovative identity solutions to Hong Kong, and to develop Gamatech into a leading services organisation with over 30 staff. Prior to Gamatech, Dave worked for PCCW Limited, Getronics (HK) Limited, Standard Chartered Bank and Wang Laboratories. Dave holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Operations Research and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada and is the co-author of “Identity Management: A Primer”, published in 2010. |
Abstract | Organizations around the globe are confronting ever-growing needs to enable users to access data and perform tasks from anywhere and at any time. Escalating security and privacy concerns are having a worldwide impact. As security and privacy-related laws increase, adhering to complex, overlapping requirements can impact every part of your organization.
Staying compliant is a constant and challenging effort. Identity Security makes it easier to govern access, track usage, and enforce policies for all users, apps, and data to automate regulatory enforcement and demonstrate compliance. The following will be covered in the talk: Increase visibility and control of potential access risks. Prove compliance quickly with automated reporting. Reduce complexity and human error with consistent controls and policies. Automate low-risk access organization-wide. Actual pain points and use cases. |
