Karson Tang is a Manager in Deloitte Risk Advisory Fintech Assurance Team. He is expertised in assessing and advising IT, operational and cyber security risks in cryptocurrency and financial institution industries, along with his solid experience in IT and cybersecurity audit. He has numerous hands-on experience with assurance and advisory projects for clients in the cryptocurrency industries around the globe. Karson is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (“CISA”), and the first person in Hong Kong to hold the certification of Crypto Currency Security Standard Auditor (“CCSSA”). Karson is inspired to become one of the thought leaders in IT and cybersecurity in the cryptocurrency industry. |
Abstract | Synopsis:
The number of crypto hack events hit at a record high in year 2022. Crypto asset owners, regardless of individual or institutional, can easily fall into victims of crypto hacks and frauds, which leads to a huge amount of financial losses and reputational damage. With an increasing concern abount cyber security in the crypto world, it is important to learn the crypto cyber threats within and how companies and individuals should prepare for the battle. Join us to learn about the latest cyber security threat landscape in the crypto industry, including common user-level cyber attacks such as phishing, malware, wallet theft, and more sophisticated network-level attacks and smart contract attacks. Let’s get a deeper understanding of the cyber risks that crypto industry is currently facing, and gain actionable insights from real-life examples to help manage these risks and protect their crypto assets. |
