Abstract According to Gartner’s 2021-2023 Emerging Technology Roadmap, tech Executives see talent shortage as the most significant barrier to adopting new technologies, placing this above cost and security. This is a real issue globally and in China and Hong Kong regions.  This becomes a major hurdle for the industry which could stifle growth if something isn’t done.

In this webinar, we are inviting tech leaders to share their thoughts on empowering women in tech as one of the answers to address the Tech Talent Shortage problem. Following are key discussion topics which we will cover:

1.        Recruitment challenges & situation – impact to you and your team

2.        Diversity & Inclusive (D&I) – helpful initiative to solve the tech talent shortage issue

3.        Challenge – Recommendations on any enterprise which is planning an D&I initiative

4.        Successful Criteria – what is a reasonable KPI

5.        Alignment to Company Sustainability – helpful staff attrition and retention measures

6.        Attracting Next-Gen – Inspiring next generation community to join tech industry

The Last 10 minutes of the webinar are reserved for answering “Ask Me Anything” questions, for example, how did the panelist join the industry; how to start a career change to tech industry; which female talent initiatives are most popular, etc.  Feel free to send your question in advance to vp-membership@isaca.org.hk.
