William Gee recently retired from PwC Mainland China and Hong Kong having served 22 years as a Partner. He is currently acting as an Advisor to the firm on innovation, digitalisation and disruption, with a specific focus on the emerging Digital Economy and the Metaverse. William was a member of the core leadership team in PwC China driving the adoption of Blockchain technology, and was involved in various initiatives relating to the emerging digital economy, including the accounting, operational and ethical implications of digital and tokenised assets, as well as the related risks and transformational impact on traditional economy. |
| Abstract | A webinar to introduce the concept of the Metaverse, the different adoption models to date, future development trends, and current operational challenges. The session will discuss how enterprises can derive benefits from this emerging technology, the implications and opportunities of the Metaverse for the Hong Kong business community, and explore the steps that Hong Kong can take to maintain the city’s competitiveness and reputation as a global hub of this emerging ecosystem. |
